Metro Bilbao encourages you to use its service to move around Greater Bilbao during the festive season, thus avoiding traffic and parking problems and contributing to environmental sustainability.
To this end, and as usual, it has extended its service at weekends and on the eve of public holidays, and will have reinforcements on all its lines on the busiest days.
Send your Olentzero letter from the metro stations!
Olentzero is the Basque character who brings presents to children at Christmas. The underground has joined in the Christmas spirit with the installation of decorated trees and letter boxes in several stations, where children can ask Olentzero, Mari Domingi and the Three Wise Men for their presents by writing letters in situ. The letterboxes will change their appearance as the dates of each character approach.
