Karpin Fauna: travel to the Jurassic and live an experience among dinosaurs

Learn about the way of life of dinosaurs by traveling to Terrasauro, a paleontological camp very close to Bilbao, in Karpin Fauna, where you can meet the most striking species of dinosaurs.

We propose afamily excursion very close to Bilbao, just one hour from the capital of Bizkaia, to see dinosaurs. In the Karrantza valley, within the Fauna Reception Center, Karpin Fauna, is Terrasauro, a paleontological camp where you can see the species of dinosaurs best known to the Txikis.

Terrasauro is a paleontological camp that allows us to travel to the Jurassic era, where some of the most well-known species of dinosaurs coexist. Throughout the tour you will be able to learn about their way of life, why they disappeared, etc.

In the footsteps of the dinosaurs

This impressive visit you will be able to see dinosaur footprints and compare their large size with that of our feet. Furthermore, along the way we will discover the different species, some of them with movement, and their most outstanding characteristics.

During the journey we will also find some facilities that will make the experience more fun, such as a hatchery and baby incubator, where the txikis will be able to see dinosaur eggs, a fossil excavation, signs that announce certain rules that you must comply with, such as “Do not give eat the dinosaurs.”
After the disappearance of the dinosaurs, in the Garden of the Beasts or Gastornisland the little ones will be able to learn about the two groups of animals, birds and mammals, that survived and inherited the earth, giving rise to the great species of carnivores and herbivores that occupied the Planet until about 10,000 years ago.

This area dedicated to dinosaurs is located in an area clearly differentiated from the BBK Karpín Fauna reception area, so that the activity in this area does not disturb the tranquility of the animals hosted.
