The “Sleeping with fish” experience is an unforgettable adventure, designed for boys and girls between 8 and 11 years old and their families, where they can discover the marine world in a unique, educational and exciting way.

This activity is a unique opportunity for children to learn about marine life in a fun and close way. Without a doubt, spending the night in the aquarium will be a great adventure for the little ones that they will never forget.

A night at the Aquarium: what does the experience consist of?

sleeping with fish - family activity - Aquarium San SebastiánThe activity begins at 8:00 p.m. with a welcome from the Aquarium monitors. From the very first moment, participants are immersed in the marine world with a guided tour that covers the most fascinating areas of the aquarium.

During the visit, children will be able to explore the most interesting themed aquariums, always making the visit enjoyable, educational and participatory.
The highlight of the tour is the Oceanarium, an impressive tank of 1,500,000 liters of water, where more than 40 species of fish live, including the impressive bull sharks and other Atlantic and Cantabrian species.

After the visit, the children will enjoy dinner in a space prepared for them (dinner must be brought by each group). Then, as previously agreed, they can watch a movie or prepare directly for the most anticipated experience: sleeping in the aquarium tunnel, where they will observe how the marine creatures move in the quiet of the night.

The next morning, the monitors will wake the group at 7:00 am to enjoy a breakfast served by the Aquarium. The adventure ends at 8:00 am, with the unforgettable memory of having spent a night in a magical place.

Practical information and tips to enjoy it to the fullest

To ensure a safe and personalized experience, the activity is limited to small groups:

  • Minimum 4 people, maximum 12 people.
  • One adult for every four children.

There are also special rates for schoolchildren and associations. For more information, it is recommended to contact the Aquarium.

What should participants bring?

  • Sleeping bag and pajamas (the temperature is cool, since the space is open).
  • Toothbrush and personal hygiene items.
  • Dinner (must be brought by the group, simple food such as sandwiches or similar is recommended).
  • Breakfast is provided by the Aquarium.
  • Comfortable clothing.
